working with me

Book an initial consultation

If you are here, chances are life with your dog feels harder than it should.

You might be overwhelmed. Tired. Confused. Or quietly wondering why everything you were told would work has not. Classes that did not help. Advice that made you feel blamed. A dog who is trying their best but still struggling.

I work in a relationship led, force free way. That means I care about how your dog feels, how you feel, and how the two of you are coping together. I am not interested in rushing dogs into obedience before they are ready or forcing them to fit neatly into human expectations at any cost.

There are no quick fixes here.
There is structure. Clarity. And support that actually holds.

how the process works

I keep this simple on purpose.

Step one
We start with an initial consultation. This gives me the chance to see your dog properly and understand what is really going on.

Step two
If more support is needed, I recommend the most appropriate Intensive Training Programme for you and your dog.

Step three
The work is handed back to you clearly, with guidance on what to focus on next and what can wait.

You do not need to decide what level of support you need in advance. That decision comes after I have seen the dog in front of me.

initial consultation

All new clients start with an initial consultation.

This is a focused, 90 minute session where we slow things down and look at the full picture. It is not a quick chat and it is not a sales call.

We look at:

  • How your dog is coping in their day to day life.

  • What might be driving the behaviour you are seeing.

  • What you have already tried and how that felt.

  • What would genuinely help right now.

Some people book a consultation as a standalone session to get clarity and direction.
Others go on to a structured Intensive Training Programme.

Both are fine.

The aim of the consultation is to reduce overwhelm and replace it with understanding.

What the consultation includes

A 90 minute face to face session
This may be at your home, at a venue, or out and about depending on what is most useful.

Observation of your dog in context
I am looking at regulation, stress, motivation, and how your dog responds to the environment.

Time to talk properly
We cover history, routines, pressure points, and expectations without rushing.

Clear next steps
You leave knowing what to focus on, what to stop doing for now, and what kind of support would make sense.

After the session I will recommend the most appropriate way forward. That might be an Intensive Training Programme or no further training at all.

Cost and booking

The initial consultation is £135.

This reflects the time, experience, and professional judgement involved. Consultations are paid sessions and are not a free assessment.

I do not offer advice by email or phone before a consultation. This ensures any guidance is based on seeing the dog properly rather than guesswork.

what happens next

Following the consultation, I may recommend one of the Intensive Training Programmes below.

These programmes exist because many dogs and owners need more than occasional sessions. They need contained, focused support that creates progress without adding pressure.

All Intensive Training Programmes are offered following an initial consultation.

intensive training programmes

These programmes are designed for dogs and owners who need structured help rather than ad hoc training.

I work directly with your dog in short, carefully planned sessions and then hand the work back to you with clear guidance. This often includes annotated video clips so you can see what matters, what to look for, and how the work fits together.

Each programme has a defined start, a clear focus, and a clear end.

foundation intensive

  • This programme suits dogs who are struggling but where the situation is not emotionally complex.

It is often appropriate for dogs who are:

    • finding it hard to settle

    • over aroused or easily distracted

    • pulling on the lead

    • struggling with recall

    • lacking confidence in everyday environments

It works well for owners who feel stuck and need momentum and direction.

  • Two training days with your dog
Each training day is up to four hours and broken into short sessions with rest.

    Training focuses on:

    • Regulation and emotional state

    • Environment and setup

    • Foundations that support everyday life.

    Video support
Key parts of the training are filmed.
I annotate these clips to highlight what your dog is doing, what I am responding to, and why certain choices are made.
You receive private access to these videos via an unlisted YouTube link so you can revisit them in your own time.

    One owner handover session
    Up to ninety minutes
This is where we connect what you have seen on video with what you will be doing day to day.

    A written summary
    Clear next steps
    What to prioritise
    What to pause for now

  • This is a contained intervention. It does not include ongoing messaging or open ended follow up.

The aim is progress and clarity, not dependency.

  • from £1,500

Relationship Intensive

  • This is the core programme I offer and the one most clients choose.

    It is designed for:

    • emotionally driven dogs

    • owners who feel disheartened or blamed by previous training

    • situations where confidence, trust, and understanding matter as much as skills

This programme allows time and space for learning to settle rather than being rushed.

  • Three or four training days with your dog
Each training day is up to four hours.

Sessions are spaced over several weeks to allow regulation and learning.

    Video support
Training sessions are filmed where useful.
Videos are annotated to explain decision making, timing, and changes in your dog’s behaviour over time.
You receive private access to these videos via an unlisted YouTube link so you can review progress and understanding between sessions.

    Two owner handover sessions
    Each up to ninety minutes
One part way through and one at the end, using video where helpful to anchor learning.

    Time bound support
Support is available during the programme and for a short period after completion so you are not left floundering.

    A clear end point
You will know where you are, what your dog can do, and what makes sense next.

  • Support is structured and time bound. It is not unlimited access and it is not open ended.

This programme balances progress with emotional safety for both you and your dog.

  • from £2,250

Supported Intensive

  • This programme is offered selectively and in limited numbers.

    It is suitable for:

    • high emotional load cases

    • owners who need containment alongside training

    • situations where careful pacing and professional judgement are central to the work

  • Five training days with your dog
Each training day is up to four hours.

Delivered over six to eight weeks depending on the dog and situation.

    Video support
Training is filmed and annotated throughout the programme to support deeper understanding.
These videos allow you to see patterns, progress, and decision making clearly rather than relying on memory alone.
All videos are shared privately via an unlisted YouTube link.

Up to three owner handover sessions
    Each up to ninety minutes
Video is used actively in these sessions to support confidence and clarity.

    Extended but defined support window
Priority scheduling within my normal working hours.

  • This programme is not always available.

It exists to protect the work, your dog, and my capacity. Availability is discussed after the initial consultation.

how to get started

All new clients begin with an initial consultation.

Some people use the consultation as a standalone session.
Some go on to an Intensive Training Programme.

Both are fine.

The first step is simply to book the consultation so we can look at the dog in front of you and decide what support makes sense.
