The boring but important bit.
Yes, there are terms and conditions.
No, they're not written by a robot.
I'd rather explain things like a normal person than hide important information behind legal waffle.
So here's everything you need to know before we work together.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. In fact, I’d much rather you told me what’s going on than try and diagnose the problem and work out which service fits it.
Tell me about your dog, what life looks like at the moment and what you’d like some help with. I can usually point you towards the most sensible place to start.
-
My training is reward based and centered around the individual dog. I’m interested in what your dog is doing, but also why they are doing it and how they are feeling while you are asking them to learn.
I don’t use methods design to frighten, hurt or intimidate dogs into behaving. That doesn’t mean dogs never have boundaries or that we simply stand around feeding cheese while they dismantle the house. It menas we teach them what we would like them to do and make sensible changes to help them succeed.
You can read more about this on my How I Train page.
-
No. That would be a spectacular waste of both our time.
Most people contact me after they have already tried several things, recieved contradictory advice and spent far too long wondering whether they’re doing everything wrong. I’m interested in where you and your dog are now and what we can do next.
If something you are currently doing is making the problem worse or affecting your dog’s welfare, I will tell you. But I’ll also explain why and give you something useful to do instead.
-
Definately not. Puppies are a big part of what I do, but I work with dogs of all ages. There is no point at which a dog becomes too old to learn, although an older dog may have had considerably longer to practise doing things their own way.
